Life Expectancy
Nov. 13th, 2002 07:46 amThis is
nt's fault. He posted this link to calculate life expectancy and I had to click on it. I didn't know all the answers - I have no clue about my blood pressure and colesterol level so I just guessed but otherwise I answered as best I could, I learned that:
"Based on your answers to the above questions, your current life expectancy is 77 years."
This isn't very comforting to me. 77 seems a bit much. I'd be happier with 65 or 70 max. The report then goes on to say: "If you're not happy with the result, consider that by adopting a healthier lifestyle and avoiding various risk factors, you can increase your life expectancy by up to 15 years." It has no pointers for how you decrease... I could take up smoking again I guess. Wait, I just went in and added smoking a pack a day. That only bought me a year.
