rough night

susandennisAt 12:30 Biggie started heaving. Some wet and some hair came out but that was all. At 2 and 2:30 and 2:45 he did it again and again but nothing came out at all. As I'm trying to get back to sleep I'm trying to noodle out scenarios and vets that might be open on Sunday or even Monday with the holiday. I wonder if one of those at home vets are working on Sunday. Did he eat another foreign object? Is he sick?
And Julio was very stressed.
Finally we all went back to sleep. I woke up this morning and Julio was next to me and Biggie was on the bench at the end of the bed. I got up to pee and Biggie hopped onto the counter to look in the sink which he does every morning (no clue why). Julio came into the bathroom to watch Biggie (which he does every morning).
I cannot tell you how thrilled I was to see Biggie chow down on his breakfast with relish. And then he demanded treats in his puzzle as usual.
Now he's in the heated cat bed on the couch and Julio is in the cat tree and both of them are sawing little kitty logs which they usually do after breakfast.
Turns out no vets are open today except the emergency vet which is not close by and not fun to deal with.
But, hopefully, we won't need to even think about this again.
Julio just climbed into bed with him.
