So after a morning and early afternoon of regular eating and playing and resting, Biggie threw up a lot of fairly well digested food. And then proceeded to throw up water or nothing every 5 or 10 minutes for an hour.

Now he's asleep under the bed which is totally natural for him at this time of day. So I don't know how he's feeling except he's not throwing up so I'll take it.

It's been about an hour now since the last episode. I seriously considered a trip to the emergency vet but google dissuaded me. Sounds like they would just keep him and watch him. I can do that. Turns out my vet has an online triage-y thing and I don't even have enough info for that. I'll know more when he refuses dinner or chows down tonight.

It does feel like tomorrow might very well be a day at the vet. And he hates every part of it. Starting with the carrier. Poor guy.

I have a barfing boy, that is, a boy who barfs occasionally. The solution in our case is to keep an eye on his liver function (he's an old boy) and feed him small meals. He's a chow hound who bolts his and the other cat's food, then sometimes hurks.

I'm encouraged that he's not throwing up something he shouldn't have eaten at least! Fingers crossed it's a passing minor thing.
