SteveTheContractor texted me asking if I'd been inspected yet. Nope. And then 15 minutes later, the inspector showed up!
He did not need the ladder (that the installers said he would). He did not look in the holes. He looked at the compressor a little, glanced at the inside units and declared everything FINE and DANDY. And I'm already listed as "completed" on the city's website!!!! So the incomplete that other guy gave me is now erased. I'm done!!
I will be interested to see if the HVAC company does the fix the other inspector requested but I am so not losing sleep over it.
I texted Steve that we were good to go and he said he was hoping to get it done this week.
Then FedEx brought me the night stand they were supposed to deliver last week. Much assembly required. I had booked a Task Rabbit to do the work but had to cancel when the delivery was delayed. When it got here today I opened the box and the next thing I knew I was assembling and I did a fabulous job. Plus I was very pleasant about it. So I gave myself a big tip. It's a nice quality piece and exactly what I wanted. They cats didn't even try to help.
This is what I saw when I came into the living room to put my tools away. At least I got a good laugh.

While I was collecting myself the phone rang. A Washington DC number??? On a whim I answered. It was Steve's guy about the job. Can they do it tomorrow? FUCK YEAH!!!
Who needs groceries. I need the holes fixed and the heaters yanked outta here. I told them the other day that I had the paint. I need go check my stash and make sure I wasn't lying. But right now I can't move because I'm Julio'd to this chair. No big deal.
The car is still parked out front.
