The car is still there but this morning it was joined by an ambulance and they carted one of my neighbors off. Not dead yet. I wonder if it was the guy next door. He's had a few strokes and is pretty frail.

I'm on worker wait now. I told them early was fine and he said 'great' but that's as close as we got to settling on a time. Which is fine. I'm ready.

My new bed side table is causing issues. It looks sooooo nice that it's making the old piece of shit on the other side look very shabby. I'm not convinced I want to replace it. I think I might just try to love its shabbiness.

Depending on the workers, I might squeeze in a trip to the market or a walk over to Uwajimaya. Or I'll try another restaurant delivery Last night I had a burger from the joint across the street. Cheap and not bad. But, not repeatable so soon. I wish I could find a reliable delicious delivery option. But, so far, no joy.

Ok, it's now 9 and I'm ready to get started/done! I'll be so happy to have my house back to just me.

Could you put a tablecloth or a table runner on the shabby nightstand? Or both if you wanted them to match? That might camouflage the shabbiness.
