One more day
Jan. 18th, 2023 03:51 pmThey have done a lot but they left for the day to let everything dry. Then they will paint and put in baseboards where the heaters were. These two are good good workers. And nice to have around.
It's exhausting for sure. Also shit's everywhere cause it had to be moved from the walls. The cats are all WTF and so am I. But, one more day.
I had to go get paint because one of the colors had dried up. It's Benjamin Moore paint and there's a store just down the road. They've always been fine to deal with in the past. I give them the number, ask for as small amount as they will sell and walk out with a pint of paint that then mostly dries up. Today they were a major PIA. I asked for as small amount as they would sell and gave them the number. "but this doesn't tell me what kind of paint it is" and that was just the start. Finally we agreed and she said 10 minutes which in real life turns out to be 20 and then she walks out with two gallons.
NFW. Finally I got one quart of each which is still 90% more than I need but I needed to get out of that stupid store. Buh bye forever. I'm over you, Benjamin.
My breakfast burritos and cobb salad arrived promptly. $90. Which I think is way too much BUT. That salad was one of the best things I've had in my mouth in a long time. Every piece of it was perfection. It was totally worth the $23. If the burritos are as good as they were last time, this could be a repeat performance even at $90. Not often but definitely. And thee is enough salad left for dinner.
Oh and the building manager reported the car out front to the city. It's still there. Interesting to note that in downtown Seattle, you can park in a 5 minute loading zone for a week for free.
Time now to put my feet up and enjoy the quiet.

Date: 2023-01-19 12:23 am (UTC)I had to laugh at your Benjamin Moore experience. Pretty similar to mine - they tend to be awfully snooty about paint. And pricey. What in the world made her think you needed two gallons when you asked for a pint, if possible? Maybe she was trying to make her quota.
