I was minutes away from a "when will you be here" call when they showed up. 10:45. But now they are here and working away. Patching 4 holes and yanking out baseboard heaters (and then fixing those holes and the baseboards) is a multi layered deal.
while I was waiting, I cut carpet strips. I broke 2 nails and stabbed myself with the box cutter I was using and it ended up being for naught. We figured out they could replace the baseboards and I could fill in with carpet later. So I ordered a pair of proper carpet cutting shears and I can do that later.
I used some muscles that retired years ago. I see some real soreness in my future.
Now they are taking a lunch break and then I think have on the color left to do. (they've sanded and texturized and done all the other prep) They are nice guys but I'm over this. Think I'll go make me a ham sandwich.

Date: 2023-01-19 11:13 pm (UTC)Glad they've gotten the wall patched up and baseboards in (I guess?). Are you going to do the paint touchup yourself?
It's stressful and annoying, isn't it, having people in your house and tearing (or fixing) things up.
