Weeds (Showtime Series) is cute and fun and snappy. I've watched two episodes so far. There is some very subtle humor it in. So subtle, in fact, I'm sure that while I caught some, I probably missed more.

Every day I get a note from Ameritrade about how much my stocks lost or gained during the day. Once last week, I think, I gained $.06. But otherwise since beginning about foreverago, it's been lose, lose, lose. I know there are lots of people losing lots more than I am and I also know that there are many many more who would be grateful to have enough money to even invest at all, but still. Every day. A loser. It's getting old. I keep a widget on my desktop of my Ameritrade stocks. This morning, the only one in green is Microsoft which has struggled up to $22.41 (which is pitifully low). Pitiful. I need to keep my day job and maybe pick up a night one if this keeps up!

I got up early to finish off my last few bugs for the website launching today. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/deskstopsearch. If you see a dude with crap shooting out of his monitor, you'll know it's not live yet. If you see an not young blond woman looking like she's just having the most fun eeeevaaar, then you'll know I'm either breathing a sigh of relief OR scrambling to fix something. I'm waiting now for da boss to give me the green light. Could be an hour, could be after lunch... I got no idea.

Oh and my fish locker is in Texas!!! I've lined up Keiran and Alan to come over the night it gets here and help me decide where to put it.

We watched the first few episodes of Weeds (that's the one with the 'Little boxes made of ticky tacky' theme song right?) It was okay ..but didn't really grip me too much, glad you are enjoying it though

yep, that's the one. a lot of the humor I think is real u.s. specific. there's a hiliarious seen when she's driving a beater car and two hoodies pull up in a giant SUV with rap booming out and her little beater car is playing (very quietly) a theme song from a fairly obscure public radio show. if you don't know the radio show (which many - even in the u.s. - wouldn't) you don't get the joke.

Oh crap! I totally forgot about the Texas Problem!! It's Dallas and so I'm hoping by the time you could get there, it would have moved on out of harm's way...

Too bad you can't sign your work for Bill. I am on and off that site (knowledgebase mostly) a few times a day sometimes. It would be grand to know if I am looking at a "Susan Dennis" creation.
