Knitting satisfaction

I've been knitting a sweater that just now got to the point that I could try it on and see if I liked it. I LOVE it!! It's a beautifully written pattern. The yarn I am using is self striping. I just knit and it makes all the different colors automagically. I added pockets (they aren't finished yet but the top will have the same finish and the neck and then they'll be knit so only the edge shows). I'll do those and then I'll need to decide on the sleeves. I'm seriously considering three quarter sleeves.



I scored big at the fancy grocery. Good meals to fill in the rest of the week. I may yet do a trip to the Japanese grocery but not until maybe Friday or Saturday.

And everyone can rest easy. My perilously low cheetos situation has been rectified.

It's been many years since I wore glasses and I'd totally forgotten how dirty they can get no matter how careful you are. Geesh.

I have a thing about green. I am so drawn to it. It makes shopping at Goodwill easy, I just look over the racks until I find a good green. That's where I got this shirt!

I've always wondered how the self-striping works since not all garments are the same patterns. Is there some measurement or something on the label of the yarn or in the instructions for the garment?

maybe on the expensive stuff but not on the cheap stuff i use. you just get what you get - smaller sizes will have fatter stripes
