This is how it will end. It didn't today but one day...

I have two step stools. One is just the right height. One is too tall. I needed to get to the clock to change it. The too tall one was closest.

And the fat lady falls. PLUS, I have a video!!

Fortunately, there is no audio. Imagine your worst and I think you get close.

The too tall stool won an all expenses paid trip to the Goodwill bag.

The just right stool got the job done.

Don't feel obligated to do that again soon. That was about the same level as what fractured my vertebra. Your tumbling exercise had a softer landing.

Yeah. I'm over it. I grabbed the video to remind me next time I think ladder or anything higher than that one step. I'm glued to the ground from here on out.

Ouch! Glad you're okay. I alsoworry about falling, too.

I use something like this 2 Step Folding Step Stool for anything higher than one short step -- having a handle sticking up that I can grab for stability makes all the difference. YMMV, of course.

I actually have one close to that but 3 steps. It's out on the terrace and I was too lazy to get it but it is a better because of something to hold on to. However, I think I may retire from anything over one step. Cluck Cluck chicken here. our mileage seems very similar :)
