I think my addiction with watch bands is CURED!!!

I have way too many (and most not very wearable) watch bands. None are perfect so when one starts to irritate me for whatever reason, I swap for another. It's winter, long sleeves, so looks don't matter. In summer I might switch more often but maybe not. I have, however, quit buying them. WHEW.

But that's not good news.

Because, they are cheap. And my new addiction is eyeglasses. Which are not cheap - even the cheapest ones. I do enjoy wearing different ones. My nose and ears get tired and switching out refreshes everything. Plus I love a funky look. Mostly funky looks are kind of heavy so I also like a featherweight. And, there are so very many to choose from. And, each company has pros and cons and ways to suck you into expanding your collection. They are all made and shipped from China and so take forever* to get here.

*Considering how far they come, it's actually not forever at all but Amazon has me spoiled.

And the hilarious side effect of shopping for and buying eyeglasses online is that all the websites I go to now for anything, are full of ads for eyeglasses. That's all I see everywhere. Fortunately for me, they are not showing me ones I like better than the ones I already bought. Nor are they showing me sites that I have not already scoured. Still it will be wild, one day, when they cycle is done to see ads for other stuff.

And while spending this money on eyeglasses, I've been losing money like crazy from my investments. But, today looks like it might be recovery day. At least so far. The market has only been open a few hours and so far, I've made a bundle. All funny money, of course, but still it's much nicer to make even funny money than it is to lose it. Just sayin'.

I've had a jones for some ice cream lately but... all the within walking distance places have crap ice cream. The store on the corner has very expensive ice cream that I've actually bought before. $10 for a pint. There used to be this stuff called iced milk that was kind of ice cream light. It was really not worth the calories. That's what this $10 stuff tasted like. I want real ice cream. Buttery goodness ice cream. Ben&Jerry's. I might just go out and find some today or not.

But first, of course, the stupid treadmill.

Oh wait, no. First the cuddle du jour. Usually, it's Julio hugging but today, catch Biggie's paw embrace.

Vanilla Heathbar Crunch which they no longer make. But the Toffee Coffee Crunch isn't too bad. So Chunky Monkey is now the fav. But, I also like their vanilla. They make calories that are worth it. (Hey, that should be their ad slogan!)

I was super pissed they stopped making Vanilla Heath Bar Crunch, it was one of my favorites too.
I tend to get a lot of ads for coffee. I don't drink coffee.

I have the Ben and Jerry's ice cream recipe book and it's the only ice cream I make. Ten minutes to do and spoils you for all other ice cream.

I remember ice milk. A lot of the cheap ice cream bars we got when we were kids were ice milk. They still make it, but under different names. Sometime in the 1990s the FDA changed its regulations and allowed the producers to start calling ice milk (which was anything with less than 10% butterfat) low fat or reduced fat ice cream, and later light ice cream. I never buy it. I want all the fat!

yeah, no shit. diet ice cream should be outlawed altogether... and don't even get me started on vegan ice cream - all that shit's just hogging valuable grocery freezer real estate.
