susandennisToday would be a day when I needed my sliding door open to keep this place from getting too hot.
BUT today they are grounding the grout around the bricks on the outside of my section of the building. It's loud but it would be horrible with the door open and I can feel the dust in the air even with the door shut! It would be torture to have to have it open.
I love my heat pump so much and will be loving it more over the next six months. I'm so glad I got it when I did.
The cats are not at all trusting the commotion outside. Biggie's hiding out in the bedroom and Julio is watching in here but from a safe distance.
I got all my chores done and ordered a new kitchen floor. The old one - the interlocking foam tiles is good enough but I've never been happy with the layout - I was really punting when I put it down and the edges are weird and their are bits that don't fit right. And the tiles are too thick. So today I discovered the thinner tiles are are sale so hello new floor!! Multicolored interlocking foam tiles but better. $50 for a new kitchen floor. I'm totally down with that.
I wonder if I wouldn't be smart to use those outside on the terrace? hmmmm Well, I just priced it out on Amazon and 1. There are four million options and 2. WAY cheaper than the carpet I have out there now and any of the other options I've been considering. Coolio. I'm not doing squat about it, tho, until they close up the hole in the ceiling and based on their past track record, that could be a looooooooong while.
The cats have gotten braver. They are now watching from the cat tree. But, clearly this operation is cutting into their nap time.
