Meanwhile, I'm ready. Well, if ready means still in robe drinking coffee. But, I have some time.

Except for the 2 +/- years I was married, I have never lived with anyone as an adult. My brother has very nearly never lived by himself. He has mad cohab skills. I have very few. We do manage to cobble together a week a couple of times a year and it's great. I learn a lot about me and I love having the company. And a week is just the right amount of time. I'm so looking forward to it.

The cats, on the other hand, are totally unaware of what's about to happen to their little world.

There is the first zoom meeting of the HOA on Monday at 6 pm and it will probably run well after 7 since the president is new and there are new board members, at least one of which can't shut up. We have dinner reservations at 5:45 that I don't want to change. So this morning, after noodling over several options, I finally figured out my plan! I'm going to join the meeting via zoom on my phone (from dinner) and then turn on screen cast and mute. I tested it and it works fine. The audio gets captured even on mute. I'm proud.

Another player got hurt again last night in the World Baseball Classic. An Astro who always hits very well against the Mariners, was hit by a pitch that broke his thumb. I'm trying to be sad about it but we play them in May...

Time now to hit the shower and then hit the road!

DAMN. Poor guy! A broken thumb is no joke in baseball.

I hope your brother's visit goes really well!

You do not have to fake being sad. Altuve is a jerkhole.

Of course, players can get hurt in spring training games too. (A Red Sox minor-leaguer was hit in the knee by a piece of a broken bat while running the bases yesterday; he had to be helped off the field, but the nature and severity of the injury were unclear.)
