Work Work Work
Mar. 21st, 2023 03:12 pmBut, first we went out to breakfast. We set out for the Luna Park Cafe which has been closed for about six months but reopened last week. Except a crayon sign on the door said that this week they were closed Monday and Tuesday. Tilt!
So, on to The Chelan Cafe which I have driven by about 5 million times in the 30+years I've lived here and never been in. It's one of those places where old men regulars meet every morning for breakfast. We had french toast and eggs and bacon and sausage and it was all wonderful. I'm a little annoyed now that I've missed out on 30 years of delicious breakfasts.
Then we went to the fancy grocery store to get orange juice and they were out! Oh well. I have one bottle left in the freezer.
Once home, Bill started working on the list. We switched the TV with the purple couch and so bought a large patch of living room real estate.

This was more than a little bit of work because, in addition to just shoving shit around we had to rework all the stuff that needed electricity. I think I like it a lot. Particularly like it for the new home of the purple sofa/daybed. It looks way better there from all angles and is far more useful there.
Then we hung pictures. We had to fill the space where the TV was and then I had two walls that the fix it guys painted when they were here - one in the bedroom and one here in the living room. Now all my pictures are back up and lookin' fine.
Yesterday, before we went to dinner we turned on the Japan v Mexico World Baseball Series and watched a couple of innings. When we got home from dinner it was still going on! They were in the 9th inning and Mexico was ahead by one run and had to get only 3 outs to clench. But Japan said not so fast! And provided a most exciting walk off victory.
So today, we'll watch the game when it starts at 4 - US v Japan - for all the marbles. Probably it will be done by the time we get home but the first innings should be exciting.
