We went to a place that now I cannot even remember how I heard of last night for dinner. DiFiora. It was different. We shared three small plates - chicken wings, calamari rings and iron steak.

The steak was very good. The chicken was good but too spicy hot. The calamari was good but tough and spicy hot.

So when we were done, I needed ice cream. Turns out we were one block away from Salt and Straw which, because it was not Summer, did not have an impossibly long line. We popped in and got two pints of ridiculously delicious and ridiculously expensive ice cream and came home and ate it watching Japan beat USA with a storybook dramatic last bat (Pitcher for Japan pitching to his MLB teammate who was the captain of the USA team. Japan ahead by 1 run and US captain strikes out.)

This morning, we tagged teamed and made a fabulous bacon and cheese omelette for breakfast.

Now we are just being lazy and enjoying the day.

Super embarrassed at their/there. lol.

Weirdness. Not a place I'll put on my list. This trip I'm most interest in chain food and Seattle staples anyway. (DTF, Teriyaki)

Yup, just through Saturday noon ish. Business trip.

No teriyaki in the Seattle style. Chinese food has also been a disappointment. DTF = Din Tai Fung
