Today had no plans and we're having a lovely no plan day. We got weed at a new (to me) shop called the Bakeree which had a lovely aroma of bakery when we got out of the car but turns out the pot shop is next to a big bakery that supplies stores and groceries around town. Sure smells good. The Bakeree had a limited selection but fun packaging and really nice people.

Then we took the very long way home - just meandering around the south end of the city. It was fun. Then we got home to find a note that the knives we took in to be sharpened a few days ago were already ready. The knife shop is very near the weed shop so we just turned around and went back. All done.
Meanwhile we did a pivot on dinner. We had planned to go to a fancy place in Ballard which is a neighborhood north and east of here and not particularly easy to get to at rush hour. Plus we were both kind of looking for more mundane but wonderful eating so I cancelled the reservation at fancy place (not nice to wait so late but they weren't that gracious about it either). And made another reservataion at El Gaucho which is a formal, dark, rat packy kind of place with a live piano player and formal service and delicous food. They do a lot of table side prep - caesar salad, steak tartare, and bananas foster. I never ever have room for the bananas foster but maybe tonight.
I can't believe it's already Friday.
