susandennisBiggie did throw up at 4:30 and 6:15 this morning but, it was food and not foam. The vet said that his system could still be irritated instead of blocked. If foam, then it becomes more suspicious. I sent a note this morning suggesting that, since he hates hates hates going, and since they could not see the foam on the xrays anyway, that I watch him for another day rather than taking him back in. I'm waiting for a reply now.
He got up out of my bed and went to his own which he slept for a long while. Meanwhile Julio was just flomoxed. He wandered around like a lost soul. I put some food in a dish but moved the dish so Biggie couldn't see it.* That confused the heck out of him. He finally ate it all, though and then went to Biggie who put up with a little bit of cuddling.
Now Julio is in the bed alone and Biggie's on the tree bird watching like normal.
*If the vet says I really should bring him in this morning for xrays, they will need to be fasting xrays so no food. If the vet says watch for a day, I'll let him eat although he does not seem to be terribly interested.
MEANWHILE, in Biggie-adjacent news, he has company coming over today so he needs to perk up. His friend, Frank, is coming to visit! We're going to the Mariner pre-season 'do' to check out my new seat and the new dining rooms and watch the team practice this afternoon for a couple of hours but Frank is coming early for a little cat time. Biggie loves Frank and I'm interested to see how Julio - i'm afraid of all people - responds.
Oh the vet just called and said to let him eat if he wants to and see if he keeps it down. So I put out some food and he dug right in where an hour ago, he wasn't interested at all. And he's not just treating it as a tasting menu, either. Now he's done and just wandering around the house sniffing at stuff and way perkier than earlier. I'm encouraged.
Oh and I learned that he's no longer 10 pounds. Biggie is now Biggier! 13.5!
So. I guess I'll go treadmill and shower and get on with my day!!
