So quiet. It's so quiet here this morning. More than usual it feels like. Just lovely. Biggie's at the top of the ladder and Julio is snuggled in his alligator tunnel. My scrolling twitter feed this morning is more like just a list of car crashes around the area. I'm happy to be in my nice, quiet living room.

I'm always amused the phrasing wishing people 'best wishes on xxx to those who celebrate'. And what, fuck yous to the rest? Can't you give me best wishes even though I don't celebrate whatever particular thing is going on? I am not Jewish but would find it hard to be offended if someone wished me Happy Passover. Some social stuff just makes no sense to me.

And, while I'm ranting about shit - two things.

1. I love that Clarence Thomas is getting publicly called out on his shit. I only wish more shame and humiliation for him.

2. The WSJ reporter who's being held in Russia. We spent all our international capital freeing a sports figure who went to another country and knowingly broke a law that she knew about and got caught and whined. Now we have a legit journalist who's in captivity and our get out of jail card has already been punched.

I think I'm going out today. To the market on Mercer Island. I don't really have to but I kind of feel like I should get out of the house for no good reason. I also need to make a run to the dumpsters. No baseball today which in true Mariner fashion means it's a day when we will not lose a game.

There will be knitting. I'm still working that pattern test which is turning into a bit of a nightmare. But, I don't have anything else I'm dying to work on and hopefully it will be a help to show her how to un-nightmare it. So I slog on.

I'd love to skip the treadmill today. I have a string now of 10 days straight. Maybe I'll do today and skip tomorrow. One day at a time, right?

GRRRRRRRRRRR

I'm in the same camp - go ahead, and wish me a happy Hanukkah or Happy Kwanzaa! I shall not be offended!

I'm the same way. Send me whatever good wishes you want. :) One of my friends last year send out "Happy Everything" cards which I thought was great. :)

I hope Clarence Thomas gets removed. I know that man will never resign.

The Rays are on a hot streak, and it's fun to watch. Won't be another game until tomorrow, but I'm hoping they do just as well!

My peeve is with *for those who celebrate*. My good wishes are for all. There's no need to divide people into groups.

Happy Clarence Thomas Getting Called Out Day to those who celebrate (which should be everybody if they have a brain in their heads).

Guilty as charged for the "all who celebrate" thing. However, my wish goes something like, "Happy (insert holiday) for those who celebrate. For those who don't, I hope you have a beautiful day no matter where the day takes you."
