Julio moved his toy stash to the bathroom last night. He's the funniest cat. I did my exercises which are not that easy for me if I do them correctly and are producing some sore muscles BUT I am getting better and that's fun and encouraging.

Then I moved all the toys out of the bathroom and had a lovely shower. It did dawn on me, while in there, if my shower was not one of the reasons my swim mojo is missing. In the olden days, I had a tub/shower that I hated using. But, since I swam every day, I just used the shower at the gym. Then, during the pandemic, I fixed the horrible tub/shower situation and now I love my shower and the one a the gym is kind of dark and feels germy. Interesting thought.

Today's Mariner game is at 10:30. They have been losing a whole lot which makes watching the games a bit of a chore but, hey. Yesterday, they were up 8-0 in the end inning and lost.

I need to take yet another return down to the UPS Out box and see if I can find the heat pump guys. They are supposed to be here tomorrow but if they are installing, they might be here today, too, and I can leave a PLEASE don't forget me note on the cart they leave in the hall.

Maybe I'll just go get all that done now. I got an order from Amazon this morning that came packed in the kind of styrafoam that Biggie loves best - to eat. I think getting it out of here and down to the dumpster is a prudent course of action.

I know in some gyms they don't do a very good job of cleaning the showers. I got athlete's foot in the late 80's because of that.

Would it be too uncomfortable to come home and shower then? I bought a terrific zip-up towelling robe for swimming at the beach last year which might be the kind of thing you could throw on over your swimsuit. I love coming out of the water and putting on a warm garment, but then I only have to cross the road to get to my beach house, not drive home, so maybe that would be too long in a wet swimsuit?

I hear you. I'm glad we were in San Francisco this week (home yesterday) and therefore couldn't watch what was happening to the Red Sox in Tampa Bay.

Your season so far has just been painful so making you play Tampa Bay was just mean. At least you can no move on.

FYI - we do need to get serious about making dinner reservations for your Seattle trip - Bateau and Canlis, but particularly Canlis, will be tough to get.
