I got the steroid cream for my face yesterday and applied it about noon and again before bed. This morning a good 75% of the red scaly places are totally gone! This after weeks of trying other stuff.I still have one big patch on my chinny chin chin, but I give it less than a day to live on with this stuff.

Science. It be good.

Today is heat pump day. I emailed the guys yesterday and asked for a confirmation that they would be here today. I got it pretty fast. They need to install the widget that gives me totally control of both units from my phone. And they need to extend the pipe out on the terrace, all the way to the drain.

As it happens, yesterday, the outside workers totally finished. And cleaned up everything on my terrace so the timing is freakishly fabulous.

I hope they come this morning but I know from experience that their 'end of day' is about 2:30 so at least it won't drag on too long. I can see some of the guys now out the front door tv network. They are waiting for the one with the building access, I guess. I'm quite jazzed to get this done and dusted.

Yesterday's baseball was better. We won. Plus. We had this wonderkid two years ago. Lots of hype. I mean lots. He finally gets to the big leagues and pretty much blah. He worked hard to get to meh. The powers that be kept hyping him and he kept not being wonderful. Then his year, apparently, he located his mojo. His bat has woken up. And his fielding isn't bad either. He hit a blast of a home run on Monday. And then Tuesday he hit one across the field and into the vomitorium, presumably into some food stand. And yesterday, he hit one so far that it broke Mariner records AND Wrigley field records. So now he's too old for wonderkid but he's certainly this month's golden boy.

No baseball today.

In other baseball news, for years now, beer and alcohol sales have stopped at all ballparks in the 7th inning. But now, many are extending it past the 7th inning because the new rules are making the games so much shorter. Shocking, I say. Shocking. Oh but regardless, don't drink and driver. Right.

I've been on Twitter now for 16 years (just got a note about my twitterversary). The Elon Musk drama is tiresome enough but now they've gone an insulted NPR. They somewhere described it as a government news agency. And OMG that drama is maybe never ending. Oh the outrage, the audacity, the horribleness of it all!!!! I was an NPR fan for years. I mean a rabid fan. For years. But, when they started to crumble a couple of years ago or so, I just gave up. And now, watching them pick through this twitter rubble is just painful/hilarious.

Ok, clearly I am not the first thing on the installers' agenda. So I guess I'll go treadmill and hope I'm wrong and they interrupt me.

I miss the days when I could listen to NPR for news and not fluff. Still, they're not a state run media, sure they get like 1% of their money from The State, but they do still have to right to report on whatever they want to even if it criticizes the government.

Personally I think the world is better off with everyone leaving Twitter and Musk having to just eat the financial loss of over paying for that company.

I totally agree about NPR. I have no idea why they started changing it.

I feel like the goal of everything these days is the dumb down the content rather than smart up the consumers.

My Rays have been on such a wonderful run! I'm really enjoying it, and my stomach clinches whenever I think they're going to lose. So far, they keep coming back and coming out ahead!

Please be aware, those steroids can cause 'crape like' skin. I think I ruined my neck with Triamcinolone cream, sigh.

I just saw in today's paper that one of the players (a guy who pitched for the Red Sox the last couple of seasons but is elsewhere now) was blasting the change in the beer-selling time on the grounds that the original limit was put in to give the fans time to sober up before driving home, and selling beer in later innings of faster games was directly in conflict with that goal.

As if the team owners were likely to think that was more important than making more money.
