Two weeks of nothing
Apr. 24th, 2023 07:28 amMy calendar says I have the next two weeks off. No plans. No requirements. No responsibilities. Nothing. Right now, I am fine with that. Two days of in person baseball excitement is enough for a while. Plus I ate so much over those two days that I may never be hungry again. Totally a lie. But, man, was I feeling stuffed to the gills last night.
I got up this morning at 6 and got my car off the street and into the lot. Lie #1. The whole move to the street thing was unnecessary. They did not block off the street last night. It was wide open and available this morning. It's now 7:45 and, still, business as normal out there. Not a hint of Seattle Department of Transportation.
But I wasn't the only one who bought what they were selling. The normally empty lot was pretty packed from last night. I gathered this because many of them were leaving this morning while I was out there. I managed to snag a sweet spot. Easy to see from my terrace and right now snuggled between two giant mean looking SUV's.
Oh. Wait. It's 8:15 am. They have just moved in the porta potty. It's ON! Let the noise and stink begin. But, wait, I can keep the door closed and still be quite comfy. So. Bring it.
I started watching The Diplomat (Netflix) this weekend. It's just about as good as the hype said it was. So I'll be doing more of that today.
But, first chores. Laundry for starters and new bed linens and Amazon just brought more litter so yeah! The cats have, for some reason, boycotted the main litter box. Now they only use the backup one that's in the bedroom. I'm perfectly fine with having to clean out only one litter box. But it's deep one and uses a lot of litter. And it was getting really low. But, all's fine now.
But first treadmill.
