Comfort temperature

susandennisI am still adjusting to life with a heat pump. It's far more difficult than I imagined. After 30 years of adapting to what Seattle gives me in terms of temperature, I now can make it what I want. Last night, I was cold all night. I don't really mind - way better than warm or hot. But, still, I woke up this morning and realized that it's all in my remote control. I reset the temp in the bedroom and in the living room. I no longer need to be cold when it's cold out or warm when it's warm out. I don't know why this is such a hard thing for me. But, I do need to be more mindful, now, when I leave the house, that I am dressed for the outside, which, sadly remains out of my control.
In that same vein, it is heaven to be able to keep the outside, outside today. My only outside source is the sliders out to my terrace which today overlooks the road construction. I can hear it through the closed doors but it's so muffled that it only reminds me to be grateful that I no longer have to keep that door open to be comfortable.
Nothing on the agenda today. Except The Diplomat which is really really good. Several times yesterday, it had me laughing out loud which I rarely do when watching TV. I'm now trying to watch only one episode a day to make it last longer.
Today's baseball game is at 3:30. I love east coast games.
I am NOT blowing off the treadmill today. I am going to get on it right now.
There is lots of action in Julio Township this morning. They've taco'd it and now it's righted again but they are still at it.
