I hope [personal profile] jo is enjoying it cause I sure am not. Plus, when the Mariners are sucking (not necessarily losing which they are today but sucking) the announcers both radio and TV generally just match the suckage. 1/2 of my preferred broadcasting team is on radio and the other half is out sick. The remaining broadcasters can just bite me. I have the game volume on very low. The game will be over soon.

Meanwhile, I've finally found the perfect blanket situation for my bed. It's a light weight fleece blanket topped with a fairly light weight cotton quilt. The problem is they fight each other and end up bunching and they make making up the bed a bitch. I have a thing about always having my bed made unless I'm in it.

I thought about taking both the quilt and the blanket to a long arm quilter and having them sewn together. I couldn't find one that looked amenable to the project. I do find it hilarious that when you search thumbtack for quilters you get people who only want to crochet for pay. My sewing set up just would be way too much a PIA for the project.

And then while I was on the treadmill, the lightbulb went off. Tufting!! So I pulled out my curved needle and some yarn and made yarn ties every 6 inches or so. Now both blankets act as one. Done and it looks fine!

Ok, so even though they are still playing like Sloppy Joe's, the Mariners are now within a run making it a little more interesting.

Ok now we're in the 10th and the Mariners are up 10-8 so still a crappy game but way way less crappy.

I am not a Jays fan, nor a Mariners, but I'd take the Mariners over the Jays any day. O_O

I generally take the "All's well that ends well" approach, but yes, there are crappy wins. (The Red Sox had one on Friday, when they blew a 5-run lead and won in the 10th; what made it extra crappy is that Cleveland's crucial rally was enabled by an egregiously bad call by the home plate umpire.)

Anyway, thank you for managing to beat the Jays once, anyway. They're coming here for four starting tonight (we're going to tonight's game), and it's going to be pretty tough, I predict.
