The upside of a losing streak

susandennisPeople sell their tickets!! Ha! There are three places (and probably more) that deal in ticket resells. I keep all three of their apps on my phone and check now and again for tickets to games when I have dry spells.
Like next week. The Mariners play here all week but the only ticket I have is for Friday. There are Press Club tickets for sale to most games but they are usually $400-$500 and open available only in pairs. I checked this morning and there was a sweet deal (nearly half of what I usually pay) on a ticket to Monday's game. OK!! I texted Frank (who does the same check all the places as I do) and he must have been doing the same thing because he responded immediately with an equally good deal for Tuesday's game which is one of their Gay Pride nights.
So we're going Tuesday but also... I'm going Monday, too! So much for that dry spell. I'm good for July but hopefully we'll lose some more games before August and there will be another fire sale!
Costco was fine. It's soooooooo much easier and nicer to get my drugs there than from Humana mail order. I'd forgotten. Also it was not packed like it has been recently.
The guys working on the terraces look like they are about two doors down. I'm guessing I'll be late this aft or tomorrow morning.
This afternoon will be Ted Lasso. I've been holding it to one ep a day but because no baseball, I might do two today.
Also my current audio book fixation continues to please. It's Michael Stagg's Nate Shepard series (legal mysteries). There are five published so far. I'm reading 2. I just went to audible to check on how many there are in the series and discovered they are having a huge sale. I just bought 3,4 and 5 for $14! Score.
