I didn't go get chicken

susandennisBut, I did get a lot of other stuff around here done. And I finished my book and another mini painting. I think, when I get a bunch done, I'm going to nail them to the beams on the terrace. For no good reason.
SamTheFriend who is the other beneficiary of my cousin's estate trust, has become increasingly frustrated with SteveTheLawyer. He sent me a note the other day saying he wondered if Steve had died. And he said that he might just make a visit to Steve's office which is about 40 minutes from him. I replied that I thought that was a good idea.
Today I got an email with the subject line of "he's alive". It cracked me up. Apparently he was in court and not there when Sam made his visit. But there was a woman there who, it sounds like, basically told Sam to leave them alone. That Steve owes us nothing. His only obligation is to settle the trust and turn over the proceeds. He is not required to otherwise contact us at all. Sam was not happy and is looking into getting Steve removed as executor. That's not going to happen but also, likely, we're not in line to see, hear or get anything any time soon. I'm feel badly for Sam. That's a long drive to get told to shut up.
I remembered a crispy chicken thing in the freezer that I bought to try. I had it for lunch. It was very just ok. But, it also means that now I can probably squeak by with no grocery visit until next week. I can cobble together something for tomorrow and Sunday (or go get chicken) and then I have Mariner games on Monday and Tuesday. Fully fed.
Biggie's here in Julio Township keeping an eye on the birds. Julio is sacked out on the suitcase. I think it's time for some TV and crochet.
