Trapped again

It's hilarious that since neither one of my cats is a lap cat, that I so often get cat trapped in my chair. This morning it was Biggie. He not only hopped into my lap for snuggles but wrapped his paws around my arm so I couldn't even write. Finally Julio could not stand it any more and hopped up to join the party. But, Biggie, turns out, wasn't up for sharing so the snuggle got snuffed.

The ballgame is at 1 today and I'm starting a new yarn project. So... fun day ahead!

Katie Jones is yarn designer who does both knit and crochet all in fabulous vibrant colors. (Most all designers are knit OR crochet - I love that she mixes both.) She now has a patchwork looking cardigan that has both a knit and a crochet version. I actually like the look of the knit better BUT I'm doing the crochet one because it will be less stretchy and, frankly, crochet - especially for something like this patchwork situation - is just more fun to do. The knitted one is on the left. Crochet on the right. And, I am using exactlyl the colors she did.



I did finally get to the fried chicken place yesterday and got chicken, plus fried chicken livers and fried okra. I barely made a dent. I'll have plenty for meals today.

We now have the cat triathlon in progress - first licking, then wrestling and then zoom racing. I think they are going for the best two out of three in all events.

I'm going to get on the treadmill.

I love fried chicken but there isn't a good fried chicken place near me. There's just shitty fried chicken and homophobic fried chicken.

But crochet typically takes a lot more yarn than knitting, so costs more to do.

which is why the crochet garment has so much more inflexible structure. knits can be so outofcontrol stretchy...
