Just in time aloe

susandennisI burned the bejesus out of the finger tip of my ring finger. Major Owie. Trader Joe's aloe to the rescue. Honestly, that's gotta be more psychological than actual but whatever. Ice also helped. Fortunately, it is not majorly involved in crochet.
My friends from New Zealand start the first leg of their trip in just a few hours. They've been to the US a number of times so this trip is a mix of places they've never been and places they want to go back to. First up is Houston and then Las Vegas and then Colorado and then here. From here the fly to Alaska and then back to here, Then on to San Francisco and back home from there. Six weeks. This is the trip they planned to do in July 3 years ago.
Tomorrow morning I have a date with Verily - the health data arm of Google. They offered me $150 to come talk to them and I said SURE! Their offices are on the other side of downtown with no parking but easy bus. I thought about taking the scooter but I'm pretty sure I can make it comfortably on foot. And, for some reason that is not logical, I'm a little hesitant to take the scooter on the bus. I need to take it for a joy ride sometime just to get over it. I'll let it rest tomorrow morning.
I need to be there by 9:30. Factoring in possible bus issues, I'll leave here about 8:30. It will be different to get up and out first thing.
The Mariner game is only in the 3rd inning and already a mess. We've had some dramatic losses recently. Last night we played well and won. Turns out that was a one off. Ugh.
