Ticket Buying Fool
Jun. 16th, 2023 01:17 pmI bought a 20 game Mariner package this year and realized quickly that I should have bought 2. I want to go to twice as many games. So I put the money I would have spent on the second 20 into a special account. The Press Club is sold out so except when someone returns a ticket (which happens but not often), The Mariners have none to sell. Gametime, SeatGeeks and StubHub are the main sources of resold tickets.
Single seats are more hard to come by than doubles in the Press Club. When I buy one, I deduct the money from my game account. This system is working well, so far.
Last night I made up a list of games for which I do not have a ticket but would like one. And now my trolling becomes targeted.
After this weekend, the Mariners go on the road for more than a week. So I really wanted a ticket to Sunday's game. But it's father's day so there were none. BUT there was a single available for Saturday and it's an afternoon game so I snatched it up.
So now I am going tonight and tomorrow afternoon. That should hold me over for a week.
Also tonight's game is on Apple TV again so at least I'll avoid that debacle.
I also bought a ticket to a concert! Ha! No, really. Brandy Clark is singing at a weird little venue not horribly far from here on a Sunday night in October. I bought a ticket. I've always wanted to hear her live. Every time she's come to Seattle, her concerts start at 9 and were at places just impossible for me to get to easily. This one starts at 8 and I can take the street car there and maybe Lyft home. I have a while to plan.
But the really big news of the day is that the workers have moved on somewhere else that I can't hear and it's fabulously quiet in here today..
