My will signing appointment is about 20 minutes from here in about an hour. My Amazon delivery is 2 stops away. It's a whole pile o'shit mainly for the cats and it's fine if I'm not here but I'd just rather be. So the race is on.

My watch, which I bought nearly a year ago now, has finally started tracking my oxygen saturation which to someone with COPD is kind of an important thing to track. So far, according the the last three days it's tracked, I'm still breathing. So... YEAH!

Today, the high temperature is not expected to reach 60 degrees. Friday, the high temperature is expected to reach 80 degrees. Tomorrow starts Summer. I love that Seattle weather watches the calendar. It used to do this in the Fall, too. It was hot up until Labor Day when the switch was flipped and it turned cool. Every year. Coming from a place where it's hot and sweaty usually up until Thanksgiving, I always thought this was a little Seattle miracle. But, now, the hot lingers a bit. It is still gone well before October. So today's the last day of nice until then.

Yesterday I got a call. I've been answering the phone lately after years of just letting it go to voicemail. I click on answer, click on speaker and then wait and listen. If it's robot, they will either start talking or hangup. If it's human, they will say hello.

Yesterday, a young man said hello. He was looking for a Susan who "is the victim of a hacker". I told him I didn't know of any hacking. And he said ok and sounded like he was going to hang up but then said, "her security cams are leaking to the web and anyone an see them". I told him that was me and that they were set up that way on purpose. Then he said he was very good at finding out personal information "that's how I found your phone number." I told him that I was sure he was very good but that my phone number has been public for 30 years from back the the olden days of phone books. He was completely buffalo'd by this and I guarantee you he Googled 'phone books'. Probably posted on the TIL subreddit.

He was not offensive and did not preach or even recommend. He just said Ok and goodbye.

Now it is nearly noon. I got to the will signing place (WeWork) and went ahead on in even though I was 20 minutes early. Again with the condescension and over splaining but I just zipped my offended lip, signed and got the fuck out of there. My appointment was for 10:30. In the elevator leaving, I checked the time. 10:22. I cannot die in piece yet because I don't have the original or copies but if I needed to, I could check out any time.

They are sending the originals directly to my brother and sending me PDFs of the signed documents. But, they said that takes about 3 weeks. WhatEver. The deed is done and I'm done with them.

Their WeWork location was right by the Ballard Fancy Market which has no business connection to my regular Fancy Markets. But, same idea. Groceries and prepared foods which are made in house. They had a nice selection. The prices seemed a bit higher than my regular but maybe not. No fresh squeezed orange juice. I'll stop there again, if I'm nearby but I don't make a special trip. I am, however, meal-ed for the week.

My last stop (on the way home) was at Whole Foods. I had a couple of Amazon returns and a hope they had fresh squeezed orange juice. They did! And now I'm home and I have a variety of lunch choices.

The game is at 4 and the HOA meeting is at 6. Busy Busy day.

Oh and Amazon hasn't been here yet! If/when he does show, putting all that shit away and taking the boxes down to recycling will be added to the agenda.

The Ballard Market is where my family shopped when I was a kid. We used to walk there from our house on 67th and Mary... across the street from the pool. It's gotten a lot fancier over the years.

I've been noticing that at both the QFCs I shop at too. Aisles filled up with pallets and workers loading the shelves during peak shopping hours. It doesn't help that they tend to look offended that you're there to shop.

I remember that the business at the end of those shops right next to the market was a hair salon named Dimensions. My friend's dad owned that place and we used to hang out there after school.

That's some fabulous sleuthing buddy did, LOL - finding your phone number!

One does wonder what his goal was? If you replied "OMG my webcam is public? I guess I've been hacked" - would he then offer to sell you his services to unhack you? Because, I'm kind of thinking that if someone called me up out of the blue to point out that I'd been hacked, I would probably look to ANYONE BUT THEM to fix it for me, LOL

I imagine that I would have asked the will folks why on earth it takes three weeks to scan a document to pdf and email it. I'd have told them to explain it like I was five so they could be even more condescending. Then I'd have lots of detailed questions, "Do you need a coffee break between loading the document into the scanner and tapping the scan button?" Good grief. I don't like them very much at all, mostly for being condescending with you (and probably all of their older female clients).
