Everyone can relax. The bacon crisis is over. Whew. I did not get gas because I still have more than half a tank. I get twitchy when I get below a half tank but even I can't bring myself to top off less than a half. It's a game I play. I use so little gas that it's a cheap game.

I walked around a bit (steps) and just oogled all the stuff I don't need or want. I got my shrimp and a couple of other things and still got out for under $75 which I consider a Costco win.

I did discover that the Mariners Pre-All Star prep continues. They have taken a gravel field used by the department of transportation for short term equipment storage and paved it up. It's a big enough space to easily park 300+ cars. It's now all pretty with little patches of greenery and lots of directional lines and signage. Mariners Car Share Lot. None of this looks temporary. This will be, apparently, where Lyft and Ubers can hang and wait their turn. Interesting. It sure looks better than what it replaced.

I made a big old shrimp and a bunch of other stuff salad. It as very Meh. I keep buying tomatoes - expensive heirloom tomatoes - thinking maybe this one will be decent. It never is. They have the right look, the right texture but zero flavor. Not in a BLT and not in a salad. Buggers.

I'm SO glad I can get good vine ripened tomatoes here.

I buy heirloom tomatoes at Trader Joe and they taste fine to me.

Tomatoes never taste the same as off the vine. :(

I'm with you! I don't even buy tomatoes except in the summer from the farm stand, and that's only until my plant in the garden gives me a few.

lol I have a gas game I play as well. For me I gas up when below a quarter of a tank unless I'm traveling then it's below half. Today I planned to get gas but Events occurred & I ended up forgetting 'til I was almost home. Needless to say, now I'm very low on gas!

A new Costco is being built closer to me but it will still require use of a cooler to bring home refrigerator or freezer items. Supposed to open next month. Hope I won't be disappointed. This will be my first in-person Costco experience!
