two out of three disagree with me
Jul. 4th, 2023 07:52 amMy fitbit app and my posturepedic app both say that I slept fine last night but I feel like I could never get comfortable. And this morning my back is killing me. I have ice on it now. Dr. Google says Motion is Lotion. So I'll be walking the halls and will do some treadmilling. The cause is old age, too much sitting, not enough moving. But my happy is to sit and crochet and watch TV or listen to my book. Moving is annoying and takes more energy than I want to donate.
Le Sigh.
I've abandoned Twitter after 16 years. I used Tweetdeck on my desktop. I kept a space open on the left hand side of my screen and just let Twitter roll by there all day. I could keep my eye on the news and other interesting stuff with very little investment.
But, Twitter's messiness finally hit my house. At the end of the month, Tweetdeck will change to the new version (which sucks) and only be available to those who pay. $90 a year. A bridge too far. I quit. I've been kind of dipping my toe into Mastodon for a while now and finally fully committed. Their web app enables me to, once again, have a column on the right that scrolls. I've found some good national news, local news, baseball news, knitting and crocheting stuff... The interface is much better and I think it's going to be fine and dandy.

Today I need to pick up/clean up the living room and kitchen. Neither is too bad but both need attention.
Scott and Julie are going to get their ownselves in from the airport to their hotel tonight to keep me safe from his COVID kooties. If all goes according to plan, they should be at the hotel by late afternoon. If Julie is still failing her COVID test and wants to, I'll pick her up and we'll go get dinner and bring some back for Scott. He reported yesterday that the lines are taking a lot longer to show up on the test so we're all thinking this means he's on the mend. I'm sure she'll get it, but when. They fly to Alaska for a week on Saturday.
Now I think I'll get up and move.
