Costco report etc

Ok, new theory. Something in the parking lot of Costco is evaporating into the air and getting into the brains of people driving and turning them into idiots/assholes. Inside the store, people are lovely. Outside the store, behind the wheel, they area whole new kind of stupid. And it's the asphalt.

I got my ham and cheese croissants. And gas. All is fine. Costco is on the other side of the ballpark from here and with all of the giant trucks and cranes and workers, I had a harder time getting home today than when the crowds were huge. I did see that most of the hot dog vendors were back today to feed the workers which I thought was great for both groups. I hope all those vendors made a fuckton of cash last week.

I'm trying to plan out my eating. I have food in the freezer that needs to get et. But, I need a couple of grocery items. I need to have food for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Then I have a game on Sunday and company for the next 5 days.

Then I remembered Trader Joe's! There's a Trader Joe's across the street from my pool. Back in the day, it was kind of useless since I swam from 5-6 am. BUT now that I finish up around 8ish, when they open, I'm golden. So I have a little TJ list and I'll do it tomorrow after my swim.

I am going to need to do some laundry here before the weekend. My new washer/dryer will be here a week from next Monday. Washing in the old one just is not appealing! I'm already spoiled and I don't even have it yet!

I feel as though with every passing year, drivers become more and more careless. I'm not sure if it is due to the fact that COVID-19 caused a lot of traveling to cease, but it feels as though the safety of others behind the wheel is rapidly declining. It's terrifying.

I've never dared consider our local Costco because it is so popular, the car lot is very full and active, and the nearby roads see long tailbacks at busy times exactly because of people trying to get to Costco. I surmise that the wonders inside must be shiny enough to attract people through the hell that I see outside.

In my experience, everyone is more of an asshole once they get behind the wheel of a car, myself included.

I think every Costco parking lot is incredibly poorly designed, made better or worse depending on the local population. The one by my house is bearable. The one by my sister's house I think is the absolute worst ever, and the people are even worse.
