Scott and Julie are at the airport. Getting there was an adventure. The last mile til the drop off point went about 1 mile an hour. Then they had about an hour of security line. Now they have another hour before boarding so all's good. They really did have too much to schlep via light rail.
It's clear that leaving the neighborhood by car this weekend is a fool's journey so I stopped at the teriyaki place on the way home and got lunch and dinner. Tomorrow I can eat out of the freezer and Sunday I will eat at the game. Monday, life should return to normal.
Yesterday, Julie did more shopping and we went to West Seattle to visit grocery stores* and eat at a cool diner there. *Yeah, it would have been smart to have picked up groceries while we were there, but I can't shop and answer a million questions at the same time. They were pretty fascinated by the grocery stores. It was great fun.
We went to a totally new to me place - Champagne Diner - for dinner. It was a strange place nestled in a tiny little section of businesses - all dental related. So Dentist, Kids Dentist, Orthodontist, Diner. Weird. It was also way too loud but it was ok.
Then I dropped them off at the hotel and came home and crashed.
I really enjoyed having them here so much but I am ready for some quality me time. I am out of breath and out of spoons. Honestly, I do not even have the energy to swim even if I could get there and back without hassle. I think I'm just going to take the weekend off. Me and the TV and my crocheting.

Ooops. Forgot to hit the Go button.
So, since the above, I have washed a load of clothes in the boring old washer. Had lunch - delish. Washed all the dishes and cleaned the kitchen. I got caught up on a bunch of stuff and am feeling way more organized and human. I think chances of survival are good.
