You have to look between the leaves

These are the leaves of The Tree That I Hate. If you look between the leaves you can make out a parking lot full of standing teenaged girls in pink and sparkles. The photo was taken just as Taylor Swift got onto the stage (which was easy to pinpoint by the noise level). When I got out there this morning to go to the pool, I discovered that either Swifties are quite trashy or there just aren't enough trash cans in Seattle to accommodate them. What a mess! But, also, no beer bottles or cans which is usually the litter we get from a big crowd at the stadium.
My heat pump unit in the living room is dripping. The fix it people called last week to say they would be here at 11 am today. "Mary" calls and leaves a message to call her but when you call the number a dude answers and wants to know who you are and what you want with Mary. And then puts you on hold for 5 minutes and comes back to relay what "Mary said". It's weird. Anyway, while I was swimming Mary called and left a message saying that instead of noon-2:30 ???? could they come at 9:30. Called back got the dude. Sat on hold. And finally he comes back to say Mary wants to know if they can come earlier. The process seems a bit inefficient. And annoying. But, hopefully, they will be here at 9:30.
My swim was excellent. So far no breathing problems but they took a few hours to kick in before so I'm not quite declaring victory yet. We have actual rain today which, in itself, is really rare for this time of year but especially this year. Also, since the terrace above mine has been excavated, my terrace roof has big holes in it so it's raining on my terrace which means water spots on the windows. Ugh. But the cats are fascinated - particularly water boy Julio. I think I'd better go get my shower and get dressed on the outside chance the a/c guys actually show up.
