susandennisScott and Julie made it back to New Zealand in one piece. They will be back in two years.
I slept great last night and got a late start to the pool. My swim seemed harder than usual so I felt way more virtuous when I was done. The traffic was a bitch but I worked around it, got my Good Morning Susan! from McD's and now I am home for the day.
There is no baseball today but there is an HOA meeting about the roof fix. I'm hoping we get details on how much and how the board plans to pay for it. But, even more important, I hope we hear when work can resume and the projected finish date. Much to listen for.
I ordered a new thing months ago - it was a pre-order for July shipment. Well, now, they can't ship now or soon for very valid reasons. I sent an email to their help desk this morning canceling my order and asking for a refund. I figured that was step 1 of what would take many steps probably involving a phone call but it's like $100 so I took the step.
Before I could even investigate, make a note to follow up, and close the website's tab, I had a reply from 'barbara' saying she had gotten my request and canceled my order and would initiate a return of the $ today.
Wow. For sure, once they can ship, I'll be placing an order.
I need to do some mending, take a load to Goodwill, go to Trader Joe's for tea.
BUT, my recent entry about not doing 3 or even 2 things per day got such lovely moral support, I'm going to probably do mending only and leave the other two for other days.
Oh and I also have to go to Walmart. I ordered some stuff online and bought some stuff last week all of which has to be returned but I can't go until next week because I have one more item yet to come in. A trip to Walmart from here is non-trivial. It's a good 20-30 minutes that needs to be planned to avoid traffic and with time to get lost built in. I gotta quit buying shit at Walmart. It's just too inconvenient.
I have one more episode of Silent Witness (BritBox) to watch and two more hours of Blind Conviction by Michael Stagg (audiobook) to listen to. Plenty to keep me amused.
