I had the pool to myself today. It was lovely. I love swimming with others but I also like when it's just me. Maybe I just like swimming :)

When I got back in the car after and turned it on there was a loud, high pitched beep. I noticed the time for service indicator was on. I had expected it but never had it been audible. I turned off the car and turned it back on again. BEEP BEEP BEEP. I pulled out and drove a block and stopped. BEEP BEEP BEEP. WTF? Then I remembered that the radio, in the last year or so, has taken to making sounds on its own. I keep it set to AUX but silent most always. I turned it off and, joyfully, the BEEPing stopped. Whew.

When I got home, I went to the Mercedes site and scheduled a visit. Always before, I'd just sent an email to my guy. But my guy retired and my new guy and I just don't have that kind of relationship. So I went the website route. We'll see how it goes. I picked Tuesday for no particular reason. I'll drop it off on my way home from the pool and they can bring me home. It will be good to get that out of the way for another year.

I bought this car new in 2011. I've been religious about annual maintenance. My goal is to make sure the car outlives me. It has 37,172 miles on it. It needs gas. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow. And it's filthy. Mercedes will fix that.

I need to take a shower. Both cats need their nails trimmed. I need to take the garbage and recycling down to the dumpsters. Those are my todos du jour.

The Mariner game is at 1.

Ha! just tricked Biggie into getting his nails done. Julio came up to see what was happening and I almost snagged him but missed. Oh well, I'll get him after my shower.

Hopefully your online appointment system works better than the one I attempted to use the last time I scheduled an oil change at Goodyear! I ended up calling them shortly after I made the appointment, and they told me that the online calendar system has no relationship to the reality of their available appointment slots!

ya gotta love that. and it's one of the reasons i did not book for tomorrow. part of the process is selecting preferred contact method for appointment confirmation. If i don't hear tomorrow, it's an email to the guy. on the up side, nothing needs to be done immediately so next week is as good a time as the week after. but it would be nice to know whether the online is the real deal.
