Turns out my hosting service really melted down and probably because of bad management. It's really only one guy who, apparently, speaks only a little English. He's sure not having a good week. But, my account is kind of back. It's there but not tied to the domain name yet. At least I can start uploading my files. 300 MB's of images takes a while to push up the pipe even on DSL. I'm about 30% done so far.

Unfortunately, I did lose (as in Susan did NOT make backups - bad Susan) some cute Betty pictures. She's just have to stay cute and I'll have to recapture. I am going to have to reshoot all my sock pictures. The teddy bear has gone on to his new home so no photo there. I'll have to make a new one.

Today is the first college football game in the new stadium. So far the college crowd is a bit different than the pre-season pro crowd. The game starts at noon. The crowd started gathering and cheering about 8 a.m. The Mariners play (their stadium is in the next block) this evening. Could get kind of tricky around here as the football people leave with the baseball people arriving.

Betty spent a couple of hours as a lump in the rug this morning until I came in from the terrace and tripped right over her. Fell right on my face. She ran. That may be it for the rug lump trick.

I've lived in this condominium for 10 years now. And for 10 years, I've hated the closet doors. They are the kind that slide from side to side. I have never seen the entire inside of any of my closets. I hate those damn sliding doors. Several years ago there was a contractor around who was working on one of the other units and on his truck it said 'no household job too small' so I asked him to come in and look at my doors and see what could be done.

He recommended bi-folds and lights in the closet and said he'd get back to me with an estimate. I guess I did find a job too small. Never heard from him again.

But, with Summer television full of reality shows and rerunds, I've been spending way too much TIVO space on HGTV and was watching a room makeover show tonight when the lightbulb finally lit.

Take the doors off and replace with curtains! Duh!!! It took me about 20 minutes to figure out several hanging possibilities and the fabric yardage needed. I'm off to the fabric outlet tomorrow - I'll be there at 11 when the doors open.

And yes, there will be before and after pix.
