I found a TiVo guy in Charleston!!!!! I didn't get an email back from the place I found yesterday so I called this morning. The manager had gotten my email and was trying to figure out who he could send me to. He had heard of TiVo but barely. He said to call Chad at Audio Video Design.

I called Chad. Chad was all over TiVo! He knew exactly what I was talking about. He said it might be a busted modem which would mean big trouble and I told him about the external modem that Weaknees sells and he was thrilled to hear about that.

He said he'd call her and go over and suss out the deal. He sounded so nice and so willing and so sharp. Whew!!!!! He said he could only go on his days off which are Sunday and Tuesday. "Would it be too intrusive if I went on Sunday?" No way.

Oh my, I cannot believe my good fortune. Yahoooo!!! Happy dancing here big time.

This and That

The chair delivery guy just called and he's coming at 9:30 in the morning! I'm ready! I haven't figured out exactly what to do with the old chair yet. I'm thinking...

When I was out today, I saw this guy with a cast from his knee down and he was using a walker for his one leg. It was so curious I had to break out the camera.

I read in the paper this morning that is very likely that Keen Eddie is toast. Very sad.

But in other TV news, I've been watching My Hero on BBC America. It is like Mork and Mindy grown up and updated. It's totally silly and I really like it.

Here's a really distressing discovery. I've had fat ankles most of the summer. Particularly my right one balloons. Putting my feet up doesn't seem to help much at all. Sometimes it's not quite so bad in the morning but usually at night it's a melon and a half.

Well, today I walked a good deal. I'd guess round trip, I probably walked about 3 miles. On the average day if you count every single step I take from the first one out of bed until the last one in bed, I'll bet they wouldn't tally up to a mile. So today was a big deal. Sadly, I just noticed that my right ankle is barely swollen at all. If walking is the answer or exercise, I'm so not happy.

But, I think I will stroll down towards the baseball stadium in a bit and get a barbecue sandwich for dinner. They set up booths way before the game.
