Waiting....

Mom sent a note this morning that she can't figure out her Wallgreens online ordering. I offered to walk her through it via phone and PCAnywhere and she said she would really appreciate it. I picked up the phone and called. Line busy. I sent email saying 'when you are off the phone, call'. That was 30 minutes ago.

The chair delivery guy is due at 9:30. I just turned on the TV to the front door camera and discovered we, apparently, have a new system. Now the front door is 1/4th of the screen and black and white, not color. Another 4th of the screen is a dim image that I can't make out - maybe the elevators or the mail boxes? And the bottom 2 4ths are just blank. Wonder what the deal is?

The football stadium is cranking up. Today is Seahawks fan fest. Looks to be quite the thing. I may have to stroll over there with camera.

Thursday is a Metallica concert in the stadium. It's at 2:30 in the afternoon. I didn't even know Metallica was still around and I think Thursday afternoon is a strange time to have a concert. But, then, what do I know?

So we finally connected for the drug order. Turns out the only thing she was doing wrong was frantic clicking. If she clicks she expects instant action. On a website, placing an order, sometimes the action is not instantaneous. The browser gives one several indications that the process is not complete but none of these catches her eye. She just starts clicking everywhere. She has a lead mouse finger. She couldn't believe it was taking so long. "Did we buy me a cheapo computer???!!!"

But we got it all done and she was very grateful. She'd been working at it for some time and was so frustrated.

"By the time I call you, I've already lost my happy."

We agreed that next time she shouldn't wait until she'd lost her happy.

Jake has spent a lot of today guarding what appear to now have become his teddy bears. He'll get up and go somewhere but soon come back to look after his brood. It's truly cracking me up.

It reminds me of my brother when he was little. He had these great rules like "everything I'm touching right now is mine."
