A/C has given up the ghost

My Air Conditioner is blowing air but it is no longer blowing chilled air.  And we are breaking heat records here today and tomorrow and Sunday!  This is so not good.  I'm so tempted to go to Home Depot and spend $500 for a new one.  But that's just silly.  I think this one is just tired.  I'm going to let it rest and try again.  I doubt seriously if there is anyone in town who could fix it - Seattle is not the hot bed of home air conditioning fix it people that you might suspect.  And even if there was someone, it is likely they are a little busy today.  Fuck.

Oh well.  Plenty of people have no air conditioning at all.  I have a fan.  I'm going to move it to just in front of my chair.

THE Resurection!!

I was sitting there flip flopping between I-can-live-with-this-it's-all-in-the-attitude and don't-be-stupid-go-buy-another-one-no-matter-what-it-takes.  And, I thought - well, you know, I could just turn the fan on and blow air around. 

So I got up and turned it on and turned it to cool - just to test - and I GOT COOL!!!  Chilled Air!!  It's working again!!!!

Maybe it just wanted to rest.  Or some love.  Or was threatened by the replacement thoughts.  Who knows?  Why cares?  I have cool air....  Whew! 

I'm going to be much more judicious in using it from here on out.  And I'm going to kiss it every time it works.
