25 minutes at 3.0 and 6 minutes on the rower. The rowing machine is getting easier, thankfully.
Jerome was there and popped up next to me on the treadmill and asked if we could get together next Monday at 7 a.m. Perfect!! Afternoons are so not my best time but, mornings... I'm on it. He'll have his plan for me. That will be good. I've lost some structure. I'm doing fine but it would be good to know what is finer. I think I'll go in about 6:30 and get my treadmill time in before.
They are doing something drastic to the entrance of the gym. There were worker guys all over it taking out plate glass windows and stuff. I'll be very curious to see what they come up with.
The new gym is such a better deal than the old one. It's just more interesting and a better feel.
Today Thomas says "Fantastic!" and I totally agree.

Last night's rice and shrimp only primed my jones pump for Asian food. So this morning, I launched a 40 page website and after it all checked out fine and dandy thankyouverymuch, I put on my trotters and grabbed my purse and high tailed it up to Hing Loon.
This is a no frills place that has good food. But, it's best when you have a group and can get several dishes and share. So, when I get a serious Asian food jones, I go up there, at lunch time and get two dishes to go and take them home and have hot, fresh lunch and then nuked dinner, lunch and dinner over two days and that generally takes care of it. Today is Chrispy Chicken and vegetable medley (Chinese broccoli, mushrooms and snowpeas) with white rice. Pretty darned yummy and now the rest is parked happily in the fridge waiting for the other meals.

I turned down some work today. I had a chance to work on some pages that would have been fine to do and I had the time but the project manager managing the project makes me crazy. My boss said that he had someone else to do the work but if Tyler (my co-producer) and I had the time and were interested we should let him know. Neither of us raised our email hands. I'm pretty sure Tyler's too busy and I know that I'm too cranky. I'll get enough hours on other days.

But in order to balance out the karma, I think I'd better clean the bathroom. It needs it. I've been putting it off. And it's time to put up a new shower curtain liner. That will be a good little project for right now. If you need me, that's where I'll be.

More of a lovely afternoon
Jun. 20th, 2007 04:47 pmThe bathroom is clean! Actually, both bathrooms are clean and the new shower curtain liner is in place. Nice.
Work was still quiet when I got done so I went across the street to pay my gym bill. The receptionist in the mornings isn't too clued in on bill paying. I paid for 3 months plus the remainder of the first one the first time around so I wasn't sure how it all worked. Kind of not too automated, actually. Tija sends a real live paper bill! She had mine ready to send so she handed it to me and I paid it.
They are still putting stuff up and away and together - busy. Sandy and Tija both are just working their little butts off! They said the front door will be completed Friday evening. Right now there is one giant and I mean giant (like 2 stories tall) piece of plywood up there.
But, it's all looking nice.
Last night while the Mariners where losing yet again, between innings I was channel surfing and there was a guy explaining how the very treadmill that I am on every morning is made!!! Turns out the company that makes all of the new equipment was born and raised and lives like 12 miles from here!!! Precor The CEO was explaining that they have something like a 2 minute rule. They build in the operation so that someone who's never seen it before can figure out how to operate it in under 2 minutes. It might have been even less time than that. I don't remember. I was, however, impressed with the concept because they have sure done that. Made it simple, I mean.
Anyway, it's just been a really nice and pleasant and lovely afternoon. I just got a 'heads up' email that bugs are on their way so now I'm all caught up and ready! The timing is perfect.
