Gym Report - cardio
Aug. 17th, 2008 10:03 am30 minutes at random elevation. It was boring but the book I'm listening to (All We Ever Wanted Was Everything) is compelling and one of the TV's was showing Olympic badminton which was fascinating so it could have been worse. The gym was hot but I set a fan to blow on my so it was tolerable.
Now,
lolleeroberts, what's the opposite of a Special Snowflake? There's this woman who is always at the gym. She teaches a couple of classes. Her name is Joan and she's really in your face in kind of an annoying way but... today she was on the elliptical machine. I was careful to turn the fan right on me and away from anyone else. But, I guess I didn't do it right cause once I was going on the treadmill, she got off and moved the fan so it was way out of her way. I asked her to tilt it to me, please and she did - nicely. Then about 10 minutes later, she was on her way to one of the bikes when she noticed the fan had drifted away from blowing on me. She went all the way to the weight area to get a 12 pounder to hold it down and reset it to blow on me again. She did not have to do that. It was nice.
Nathan was grumpy when I got there but got all glowy and gushy when I gave him his apple pie. He really was delighted. It was cute. When I left I told him "may the crust be with you." hehehehehe
monagrrl is doing the Danskin triathlon here in Seattle today. I cannot imagine. It is supposed to be cooler than yesterday but my thermometer says that supposed to ain't is. As a counter balance to her efforts, I think I'll put my feet up and not move until her race is over. It's the least I can do.
