My stitches are out!! My head has no bumps, no stitches. Nice. I wish my regular doctor has his office in the same place. It could not be easier to get to, even during rush hour. Oh well.

Next up are eyeballs. I have got to get this vision thing figured out. I did not wear my contact all weekend and discovered that my right eye has great long distance vision. I mean perfect. My left eye (the one that wears the bifocal contact lens) does not. But neither read the computer well enough to work long stretches without the lens.

I'm calling today for an appointment.

Now I have to get to work!

I deep sixed my Costco eye doctor plan when the woman who answered the phone gave me the clear indication that they (or maybe she) was not that interested in my business. No sweat, it's not like this town ain't lousey with eye doctors...

I went to my vision insurance website and found one that who's shop has been there for years, it's easy to get to without driving and the woman who answered their phone was not only delighted to have my business she said 'I just before your call had someone cancel their 9:15 appointment tomorrow, you want that slot?' Heck yeah!!

So... I spent today studying my eyes. I can work on the computer without any contact or glasses but it's not easy or very efficient. I had it wrong in my last entry.... my left eye wears the contact. My right eye is the one that's not great. And that makes no sense to me.

With the contact in, I can see the computer better most of the time. I can't see the score when the baseball game is on TV.

With the contact out, I can easily see the TV and the score and read the TiVo program guide stuff.

I can't take my contact out and slap on magnifying glasses when I need them cause my one eye is just so much weaker than the other that having them magnified the same just confuses them.

I'll be interested to hear what ye old eye doctor has to say about the situation...

Legs are done, ass is next on this guy.

I'm thinking about adding preemie caps to the knitting repertoire. The teddy bears are not good travel knitting. They are stuff as you go and that's kind of a show stopper there for togo knitting.

I really enjoyed knitting on the train this past weekend and it got me thinking about what kind of togo work I could do that would be needed and wanted and fairly easy to find homes for and I thought of preenie caps,

They are small and cute and don't need stuffing and can be different patterns and colors and I'll betcha the Baby Corner (they people who distribute the bears) might just take 'em in.

Plus, it's kind of a continuing need. Premature babies all need hats and I suspect that most parents want to keep the hats once the babies grow out of them...

I'll ask when I make the bear delivery next week.
