I had a very excellent swim this morning. The lane hog picked a different lane this morning so I could just focus on swimming instead of lane traffic. It was nice.

This morning's walk will be to the Mariner team store. It will end up being more than 20 minutes and probably a longer walk than I'm ready for but they are having a pre-season sale that ends today so there's incentive.

It's supposed to get warm here today so I want to get out and get back before that happens. Oooh! Twitter just told me that there is a new biscuit food truck scheduled today for the building across the street. hmmm I think I may have to work that into my 20 minutes... Too many walks to do!

I also need to do some laundry here pretty soon.

My new computer isn't coming until Monday which is really ok. I'm quite excited about it but I'm ok with delicious anticipation as well. Plus, I have a Zappos order coming in today. It's for 3 bags. I may not keep any and for sure won't keep more than one. Zappo's friendly and free returns snagged me again.

I need to make a bear delivery here in the next week. I keep putting it off but I'm running out of bear storage room so I need to just bite the bullet and do it.

I did not go to the Mariners store. I did not go to the new food truck. I did not do the laundry although, that is still on the todo list.

I went to West Seattle and bought yarn. I have not made a sweater in about a hundred years. This is because 1. I don't really like wearing hand made sweaters. 2. It is FAR cheaper and faster to buy good sweaters in a store. 3. Who has time? I have bears to knit.

But, I have now found a pattern that I have never seen in a store and one that I want enough to knit.

I will knit this sweater and wear it every single day next Winter. It will be my uniform. So I wanted the softest yarn on the face of the earth. So I went to the yarn store. And bought this yarn:

yarn2

It is mostly alpaca. Thank you, alpacas. It cost an arm and a leg. I could have saved about 20% buying the exact same yarn online BUT I would never have known it had the exact feel I wanted online. So I figure I paid 20% surcharge for a feel up (and for comparison and for the clerk's very good assistance.

When I got to the shop, I first did my 20 minute walk. I walked up a hill to a CVS. It was a half mile and a very tough walk. Then I walked back to the shop and stood around looking and feeling for a long time and by the time I got home, I had what I call No Breath Sickness. I just felt ugh.

I have no rested a bit and feel a little better but still, I can tell, I have done more than sit on my ass today.

My Zappos order arrived. I may send all 3 bags back. I'm conjuring on it now.

Oh and they have opened a new branch of my hair cutter in West Seattle which is actually a little more handy for me than the one I have been going to. I see on their website that they opened it last week! I may just give them a whirl - I'm probably going to have to hair cut next week.

Time for the baseball game.

WTF???

I have lost my car keys. Somewhere in the house. I know for sure that I had then when I came in exhausted from West Seattle about 4 hours ago. I could not have gotten to the elevator without to them. I would have noticed had I dropped them outside the house, I'm sure. I have tracked my steps. I walked in, dumped my jacket and scarf and shed my boots. Then I went to the kitchen where I dumped everything else, grabbed a drink and sat down in the living room. I have checked pockets. Checked all around where I dumped my jacket. They aren't in the kitchen. I even checked drawers thinking maybe one was open and Zoey putshed them off the counter.  Emptied purse. I even broke into the Zappos box that was all tapped and ready for shipping. I have grilled the cat.  This is the stupidest thing in the world.

This house isn't that big. I have a backup set, thank goodness, but still where the fuck could the first set have gone?

This really pisses me off.

The power of Live Journal... keys have been found. As soon as I hit publish on the entry above, I thought to check the yarn. There they were, in the bottom of the yarn bag.

I am no longer pissed off.
