I think it started when the game went on too long last night and then was capped off by Yet Another Loss. Then my bed remote wouldn't work even with new batteries. (I finally fixed it.) Then I kept waking up all night with massive dry mouth. Then... etc.

Sat at an intersection for 7 minutes coming home from the pool waiting for a train and then another train. My blinds are set to lower every morning but today they didn't. It's going to be one of those days, I can just feel it.

I'm not particularly grumpy now but I feel like i could get there in a flash. I need to breathe. And, more importantly, get over myself.

I did sell my old router on Amazon yesterday for half of what it cost me originally. Not bad since I used it successfully for two years. I'm happy. I have a wireless extender for sale there now but I really don't care if it sells or not. Amazon only charges you if/when sale is made so it can stay listed forever it it wants to. Everything I've ever listed has sold eventually.

My new curtains are massive - 9x12 feet. They are a bit awkward to iron. My carpet is synthetic so laying it out and ironing it there would mean carpet melt. So I did a so so job of it using the bed as my ironing board. They wrinkles come out easily so I'm thinking the ones I miss will hang out eventually. I ironed one last night and will do the other today.

[livejournal.com profile] ljtourist graciously agreed to come help me hang them tomorrow. I think that's going to be so much safer than my doing it alone. Plus, being out there in the dust messing with dusty old curtains and hanging the new ones over the dusty cabinets will wreck havoc with my lungs so having help will keep the exposure time minimal. And tomorrow's supposed to be cooler.

Yesterday I wanted a scrambled egg burrito and I made one and it was delicious but it was kind of a pain. Bowl for scramble. Plan for cooking. Too much stuff. I had heard of microwaving scrambled eggs and so this morning I gave it a go and I think I'm declaring victory! The only down side is volume. Two microwave scrambled eggs seems like 4. I think next time I'm going to try it with only one egg.

This morning I need to box up the router so I can drop it off at the post office on the way to deliver the dolls and bears. And then I need to make some more dolls. When I finish a bear or a doll, I put them on the chairs here in the living room that normally face me. They are lovely company. But, on delivery day, the chairs are empty and oh so lonely. I have a bear nearly finished and I'll do at least one doll today so it will be better soon.

One of these survey things I'm doing for $$ asked me yesterday what my dream, if-money-were-no-object vacation would be. I am not a vacation person. These days I'm not even a travel for any reason person. So I didn't have an answer all ready and I had to think about it and then I found it.

My dream vacation would be to find 2 or 3 or maybe 4 spectacular lap swimming pools and go swim in each. I'd like a luxury hotel at or near the pool with fine dining. I'd spend a day or two at each and then move on to the next.

I actually even Googled great lap pools last night and found that this really isn't a thing. I found one article that nailed the concept but the one pool that looked most interesting (actually in Vancouver, BC) is a membership only pool not open to the public.

I don't want amazing recreational pools. I want a proper lap pool with lanes and lines and no children. They don't need to be quite this spectacular but if this were a real thing, I'd be booking tickets now.

I need an old timey travel agent who specializes in lap swimming. I'm guessing that even in the old days when travel agents were kings, there was not such a thing.

But, I'm keeping my eyes open and maybe someday maybe...

So, once you finally get most of the wrinkles and some of the creases out, then what do you do? I've got no place big enough to lay them out flat. Plus, that will guarantee cat hair all over them. If I fold them, more creases. So now they are just uncerimoniously draped over chairs and pretty much driving the cat nuts. She does not understand what the heck this is. Apparently Living Room Tent is not in her repertoire of games.

I did the laundry and it is now in the bed waiting to be folded and put away. I recharged my swimming iPod and deleted some songs that were annoying and added others that I hope won't be.

I made a doll and may make another one still this afternoon.

The neighborhood is filling up. This weekend is a baseball tribute to Ken Griffey Jr. Tonight they are giving out bobble heads of him holding his hall of fame plaque. There were people in line when I went by at 9. The gates open at 5. At least it's not raining and if your part of the line is in the shade, score!

Guess those clothes are not going to fold themselves...

I do have to add that my new kitchen garbage can is cracking me up. It's so much fun to throw stuff out. I get a little thrill every time I step on that pedal.
