My adjustable bed is a double size so I should have gotten two sensors. The sensors are cellphone sized pads that plug into the bed and send data to the phone. I only got one. I suspect the installers who were looking to break a land speed record just took it with them by mistake. I don't need two but I should have gotten two so I wanted two. So I got on Therapeutics's website chat and confirmed I should have had two and asked for a second one.

Several days later, I got an email from a Therapeutic person who then sent me the second sensor. Today I got an email from another Therapeutic person asking me for info so they could send me one. It was on top of a note from the very first chat person who said "On chat with this lady who only got one sensor. She was very nice about it but wanted to know how to get the second one." I replied that I was all whole on the deal. Very whole since I got the nice complement as well as the sensor.

And in other good news, I got more than half my funny money stock losses back today. Whew. Yes, I get that I should not look every day. But on days when I have big wins, I don't see the wisdom of that.

I have a big ugly chore on my list today. It involves an outside closet so I need to get it done before it gets hot. No reason to put it off. As soon as the sun moves off the terrace today, I'll get out there and do it. It's probably not as big a chore as I think, it just comes with a wad of I don't wanna.

Maybe while the sun is taking it's time I'll make a trip to Home Depot. I need a plain old 10 Gal rubbermaid trash can. They have them for $9. Amazon has them for $18. Walmart has them for $15. Home Depot wins. Plus, there's a Krispy Kreme on the way home. I haven't had a free donut in days!!

That's pretty much it for the big plans today. Ha! Baseball tonight. Knitting and TV today. The uge.

So. I went to Amazon Fresh Pickup/Drop off. Last week when I was there, there were MASKS REQUIRED signs everywhere. They are gone. There are still 'excuse us when we social distance' signs but that's it. I saw no one but me. I was wearing a mask.

I went to Home Depot. I saw one guy with no mask and he was with a woman who had a mask over her mouth but not nose. Everyone else, totally masked.

BUT no mask required signs anywhere.

I went to Krispy Kreme. Drive through so it doesn't count except I got my donut!

On the street, most of the people I saw were masked. Even those outside with no one else around. Interesting. Comforting.

But, I did have The Weirdest Sighting Ever at Home Depot.

Guy sitting at a display table. Clearly a customer. He was wearing an almost new ball cap from a gay bar in town. I walked by him to get my trash can. When I came back, he was joined by a woman and a 4/5 year old little boy. They were clearly all together. And all masked. He and the kid were dressed appropriately. She had on a night gown, robe and slippers. I kid you not and, no, it was not a dress that looked like a nigh gown or a long sweater that looked like a robe. It was nightgown, robe and slippers! She came from the gardening section and was showing him different door mat options.

Right from Brandy Clark's song Small Town.

Somebody went to Wal-Mart
In nothin' but a nightgown
Oh, it's a big day
In a small town

Clutter goals.

My goal is to have only thoughtful clutter. When I move my eyes around the room I only want to see stuff I want to see. If it should be hidden in a drawer, closet or cupboard, that's where I want it to be.

Furthermore, I never want to open a drawer or door and have to dig. I want to see what's in there at a glance. I do not want to ever lose shit in the house again. Everything needs a place and everything needs to be in that place.

After years and years of work, I am getting oh so close to achieving my clutter goals.

I have a storage unit in the garage that I cleared out years ago and now rent. I have four large cabinets out on the terrace. The last time my brother was here, he helped me clean them out. They now only hold a tiny fraction of what they did. The next step is to remove all of them and install one single set of shelving and move that stuff there (tools, cables, extension cords). That will empty out one whole side of the terrace and organize the other.

I have, over the past few weeks, reorganized my clothes. They are now tidily hanging, easy to see in two closets but one of those closets has 2 very long, large shelves that are empty!!

I have one more organizational mountain to climb and, really, at this point, it's more of a molehill. But, it still has a bunch of stuff that I need to let go. I want empty shelves in there as well. So tomorrow, that will happen.

There is, for me, such comfort and peace with having all my stuff organized. Knowing where everything is and that it is easy to get to.

Downsizing to me is only having stuff you actually have room for. I am so so so close.
