Sandals again on the treadmill and not one hint of the pain attack. Whew. My theory du jour is that that foot, in particular, wants zero squeezing across the part where the toes join. As long as the sandals work, I'm totally fine with that. If I were younger and/or had to wear regular shoes for any amount of time, I'd think about taking the foot to a foot doctor but I'm old and wearing shoes is not my jam anyway so screw it.

Today's plans include taking the scooter over to the International District. I need a stop at the drug store and then on to Uwajimaya.

I've been on an iceberg lettuce kick lately and I'm out and Uwajimaya has the best. Sometimes iceberg lettuce can be/get bitter but I've never had that issue when I get it from Uwajimaya. I've been chopping it up - big pieces - and then eating it with my own blue cheese dressing. Bleu cheese crumbles, cream, sour cream, mayo. No calories there! ha!! If they have some heirloom tomatoes, I might pick up one or two for some BLT's.

I also need to swizzle some smart plugs around to get a cable hidden. The down side of smart. Moving the plugs is easy. Reprogramming is kind of a pain. But totally worth it.

And then it's back to crochet. I have the back and 3/4ths of the front done of the sweater I'm making. I've never crocheted a sweater before. I just don't wear them that much but this one is interesting to make so maybe I'll change my sweater wearing ways.

The baseball game/next loss is tonight, unless the rest of the players test positive. Sigh.

OWWWIE!

My scooter and I had a fine trip this morning. It was raining but Seattle rain so more of a mist and didn't pose a problem. The drug store I went to is one I've only been in once or twice but it's close and it's really nice. I needed fat q-tip swabs and eye drops for itchy eyes.

Then onto the Japanese grocery where I picked up all I needed and lunch.

It was my first outing with my new basket and backpack and they both were perfect. Easy to drop things into the backpack. I thought the basket might be too big to maneuver but nope. Perfect. I made a stop at the Asian French bakery and then home.

My eyes were really itching so I tore into the eye drops and loaded up my eyes and got an immediate reaction. The itching was replaced right away by pain and burning! It was horrible and took about an hour to go away completely. WTF? Clear Eyes Eye Drops Itchy Eye Relief, Maximum Strength. No mention anywhere that these drops will kill you but they sure felt like it. Holy crapoly. I have some fake tear drops that I'll use until I get to the eye doctor and find out WTF is going on. Geesh.

Then I had to go out again. One of the pair of shoes from Amazon arrived. Nice and wide but way too short. So back they went. Oh fuck. I just realized I left my Krispy Kreme donut in the car. Buggers.

I got the plugs all sorted out and Alexa knows about the swap so she'll know what to turn off when.

When I was out, I finally spied one of these new bikes - rent/ride/drop wherever. I thought I'd seen ones with helmets before but I wasn't sure. Yep. There it is. Very cool. I wanted to scope it out in case [livejournal.com profile] bill_schubert feels like wheeling around while he's here. We have several different bike (and scooter - not mobility) options but these are the coolest look AND have the helmet.
