In the mornings is when Biggie seems to want to bite. So when he gets into his bitey mode, I've started turning on the laser. It grabs his attention immediately. He chases it for a bit and then moves onto other things - like this morning, he's gone to his post on the terrace to start his morning shift.

Also we doing robot behavior therapy. I'm going to run Robby every morning. It will become part of our routine and he'll get fine about it. This morning, he watched but more in a hmmmm rather than an uh oh position. He hates having his nails trimmed but still steps up every morning now to get it done (we do one a day). So, he'll be fine with Robby every day.

I have decided that I do not have plantar fashionista. I think what I have is likely directly connected to flat feet, obesity and old age but I don't think it's plantar related. I skipped the treadmill today. And I walked very little yesterday. The minimum really. I'm going to try to do the same today. I figure that either more walking will help or less. I'm trying less first. I'll get back on the treadmill tomorrow and see.

So today, besides not walking, will be baseball, crochet, tv, the uge.

I keep this journal for many reasons. First and foremost, it's like a replacement for a physical book with (crappy) handwriting where I record my thoughts and ideas and a record of my life. There is also the reader comment aspect which has grown in importance to me over the years but still mainly, it's just a place for me to think outloud.

Every morning I write an entry. I discuss what's on my mind and my plans for the day. 85% of the time, after I write down my plans, I get showered and dressed and do something entirely different than planned. "I think I'll go get a bagel sandwich." An hour later I'm ordering Chinese food instead. It amuses me no end how often this happens. I could stop it. Or edit it, but I don't and won't.

Today, I went to the bedroom to put on some clothes and stopped there to organize my bedside caddy o' crap. While doing that, I spied my sandals that I had gotten out to try using on the treadmill and never did. These sandals are old and wonderful. They have great arch support and a very cushiony footbed. And the widest toe box possible since they have no box.

So, I put them on and got on the treadmill and did 15 minutes. NO pain. Sharp or not. I quit while I was ahead. But I'm totally repeating that tomorrow. 15 mins is better than 0 mins. Maybe I've found the answer?

I also need to say how wonderful it is to clean out a big pile of accumulated crap when you have an actual correct place to put that crap. My stuff is now so organized with room for more that putting stuff where it belongs is just a joy.

And Biggie is massively confused by this way later in the morning treadmill situation.

I picked up these yummy looking potatoes at Costco not long ago. I love potatoes of all kinds and these looked so good.

Looks can be deceiving. These are not worth the calories. There is nothing special about them at all. In fact, their flavor is a little odd. I'd prefer fingerlings bought in the produce department and cooked from scratch. Ugh.

But this, I've now gotten several times. Pricey but so yummy and handy.

It is four packages of sliced steak. I separate the steak and freeze the slices. When they are frozen, I pop them into a bag. Then I pull out 1 or 4 or however many I want for whatever - sandwiches, steak and eggs, steak and mashed potatoes. My favorite lately is steak salad. I pull out 4 or 5 slices, nuke 'em for a minute and a half and then cut them up into bite size pieces and toss them into the salad. So good! I probably get 5 meals out of every package so 25 meals out of the $20 pound purchase.
