The Mariners fell apart in the second half of the game last night. I turned it off when Oakland got 6 runs in one inning. 6-4 in the 8th. This morning, no regrets. The final score was 12-6. And the game was probably over at midnight. They do not need my participation for that.

But, just now, I looked and the high temperature today at my brother's ([livejournal.com profile] bill_schubert) house in Texas is predicted to be 82. With the high here in Seattle at 84. We win?!? (In fairness, after today, we are looking at more than several cool (60's) days and Texas won't see those probably much before December.)

Today is house cleaner day. She's due here by 10. She'll get here shortly thereafter. But I will be in the pool and not watching the web cams. Better for both of us.

I may stop at Papa Murphy's and pick up a pizza after my swim or not. That's a post swim decision but nice to have the option. Thanks to Amazon's delivery yesterday, no need to make a Safeway stop.

One of the very lovely benefits of going back to this particular pool are the surrounding services. It is located in a neighborhood that is rife with stuff like groceries, credit union, shopping of all kinds. Before the bridge died, it was really my default for most shopping. Nice to have it back again.

I just got a text from the post office that my Illegal Keypad will be here today! Very excellent.

So the trip to the pool is horrible. And the trip home is worse. I think a 10 or 10:30 swim time is not a sweet spot but more a little less than rancid spot. The big problem is that once I get to the gym all is FAB. The people are nice. The pool is great and the swim is amazing.

Today I got there 20 minutes early and there was an empty lane to I got started. There was only one 10 minute period when all lanes were full. So I think my time slot is solid. My plan that I dreamed up while swimming this morning is that I'll do swims on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Saturdays and Sundays. I think that's fair and doable.

So I snagged a lane for 10:30 tomorrow morning. (Turns out the start on the hour rule the woman told me last week is a myth. They have 30 minute slots and if you book for an hour they block off two slots. Not complicated.)

Also while I was swimming I realized that heating up the oven to bake a pizza on a day when it is hotter than Texas here was not a solid plan. So I stopped by Krispy Kreme instead. I came home and made a gynormous salad with a tall glace of iced tea - delicious.

Biggie was all over me (and the keyboard) to report on the house cleaner and then he left. It's his naptime so no big deal. On a whim, I just raised the blind and, yep, he's in his tree again. He's like an old Southern lady, napping on the sleeping porch on a hot Summer day.

Oh! just made my first Venmo payment. These two women (mother/daughter team) make wontons and deliver. They are reputed to be magical. So I ordered. Several weeks ago. You must be patient. Their weird online order page says they are now working on orders to be filled the week of June 30! They only do Venmo. So I placed my order and then got a Venmo account and waited. A couple of weeks ago I got a text saying that the week of June 3rd is my week. Just now I got a text asking for payment. I cannot wait to taste these wontons!

Now I think I'll eat my donut and settle in for some knitting.

The keypad is installed. Works like a charm. In case you are wondering what the code is... it's 6666. hahahaha.

It actually looks far less obtrusive than I thought it would. Here's what my neighbor's doorbell looks like.

So not the same but the same as his but his isn't like some of the rest. So whatever.

I just hope no one notices. It's going to be quite handy when the phone doesn't work (or I forget my phone and keys which has not happened... often).

So my Sleep Tracker app, apparently sends me monthly reports. I guess I got one for the few days that I had the bed in April but forgot. I'm adding the link to it here just because but also because [livejournal.com profile] kensmind is thinking about the same bed - therapeutic... So, Ken, here's the detes you get!

a month of zzzzz's

And this reminds me that in a dream last night, [livejournal.com profile] bill_schubert showed me a security scanner he had just gotten. When someone walks through it, it measures hips and detects whether or not they have a cribbage board hidden in their pocket.

This is why I do not spend any time analyzing dreams.
