The grommet and suction hooks I ordered were to be delivered on Wednesday but last night I kept rolling the project over in my brain until finally the correct answer popped in.

VELCRO!! Duh. Canceled the Amazon order. I have tons of velcro in this house and a nice big roll with industrial sticky on the back. The perfect solution. I need to finish off the sides of the curtains to fit the door and then stick on the velcro and bam. Done. I can take down whenever. The velcro is white so blends into the door frame. Perfect. So glad I thought of this now instead of after I did all the grommet work!

So that will be the afternoon's project. This morning is swimming.

It's been a while since Biggie has successfully bitten me. Twice he's put his teeth on my skin and then backed right off. At the times when I think he might be bitey, I hold my hands in front of his nose and that immediately distracts him. The laser is also good. I'd love to think he was over this biting thing.

Yesterday I lost my keys and found them with Tile. I now have a Tile fob of two sets of keys, my wallet, my inhaler and my mobility scooter. They all have batteries that cannot be replaced and I have no way of knowing how much life is left. (A real failing of the Tile situation.) I've had them a long time so I'm thinking one or more may need replacement soon. They are pricey little devils but man, have they saved my bacon. I'm hoping Tile will hop on the Prime Days band wagon at the end of the month and drop their prices so I can pick up some replacements.

Ok, time now to suit up and hit the road.

I'm not a fan of weekends. As a person whose vocation is Retiree, weekends are just an annoying stop action. You can't get anything done because everything is closed and you sure don't want to shop and fight those crowds.

But, getting to the pool is a Piece Of Cake!! Getting home, I found a little traffic, but not enough to worry about. So now I will be going to the pool on weekends and that will make weekends OK. My swim was great. I got in early so swam for more than an hour. And remembered to set up a reservation for tomorrow.

I came home and got onto the shade project. It took a couple of trials but I finally got it just right.

It's not wrinkled like the photo shows and weird how it does that but there is also the little table I scored yesterday at Goodwill.

The good news is that it does EXACTLY what I wanted it to do and it's very removable but also easy to leave in place and get the door open. I no longer have to raise the blind to get the door open either!

On the down side, if the door is open and I've left the shade on, Biggie's perch is obscured! But that won't happen that often. On days when it's fine to have the door open the new shade will be down.

I toyed with the idea of going back out to get some lunch but just made another chef salad instead. I'm going to get tired of chef salad soon so I need to find another hot weather food obsession to replace it. (I sliced up a can of Spam to use in these salads and last night, for dinner, I took a couple of slices and popped them into the Dash grill and had them in a sandwich. That damn grill cooked them perfectly. And this morning, when I cooked my egg in it, it was beautifully tinged with a little Spamness. I love that little Dash.)

Now I have a load of laundry in. My neck is sore and stiff from ?? sleep? swim? who knows but I dug out the massage machine and I'm going to give it a little love before I pick up my knitting.
